Challenge

The suicide rate among construction workers is one of the highest across all industries. To address this, the construction company Staticus has developed a Mental Health program as part of its ongoing ESG goals. This program aims to support employees with mental health issues and address their underlying causes.

Solution

To effectively reach employees and encourage participation in the program, we needed a creative and sensitive communication strategy. Our biggest challenge was to convey that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, reporting unhealthy behavior is not a threat, and to challenge the stigma around reaching out for help.

We used metaphors in the campaign to make the message more relatable and engaging for construction site workers in the UK and Scandinavia. This campaign has helped Staticus work towards achieving ESG goals, such as improving the physical and mental health of employees and reducing cultural, age, and gender inequalities.
